- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
Every outlet covering this story shares the same political lean; read with that in mind.
Athletes have begun arriving at Chubu Airport in Aichi Prefecture for the upcoming Asian Games, which are scheduled to take place from September 19 to October 4. Delegations from Jordan and South Korea were among the first to arrive at the airport, where the terminal featured flooring designed to resemble an athletics track to welcome the participants. Taiwan is sending a delegation of 482 athletes competing in 34 sports, including several Olympic medalists such as boxer Lin Yu-ting and weightlifter Kuo Hsing-chun. The Taiwanese delegation includes 37 gymnasts and 33 e-sports athletes, as well as a support staff of 10 sports medicine physicians and over 100 trainers and therapists. The event, also known as Aichi-Nagoya 2026, is recognized as the second largest multi sport event in the world after the Olympic Games.
