Current Governor Fábio Mitidieri of the PSD leads the race for re-election in Sergipe according to a new AtlasIntel poll released on Thursday, September 10. In the primary scenario, Mitidieri holds 41.3 percent of voting intentions, followed by Valmir de Francisquinho of the Republicanos at 34.2 percent and Ricardo Marques of the PL at 14.4 percent. Other candidates include Dr. Helton of the PSOL with 5.2 percent, Taty Cristina de Jesus of the DC with 1.3 percent, and Emanuel Cacho of the PSDB with 0.5 percent. In a second first-round scenario, Mitidieri remains in the lead with 44.6 percent, while Marques follows with 25.1 percent.
Simulations for a second-round runoff show Mitidieri leading against both major opponents. He holds 49.2 percent against Ricardo Marques compared to 29.8 percent, and 47.6 percent against Valmir de Francisquinho compared to 40.5 percent. In a hypothetical runoff between Francisquinho and Marques, Francisquinho leads with 44.9 percent against 26.8 percent.
