The Bangsamoro Federalist Party (BFP) and the United Bangsamoro Justice Party (UBJP) have each secured more than 500,000 votes in the initial unofficial parallel count for the first ever Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) parliamentary elections. According to the Parish Pastoral Council for Responsible Voting (PPCRV), the BFP recorded 602,852 votes and the UBJP recorded 557,070 votes as of Monday night, September 14. The BARMM Grand Coalition followed with 360,278 votes. Under the regional parliamentary system, 40 seats will be distributed based on the share of the vote each party receives, provided they meet a 2.5 percent threshold of total valid votes.
Several high profile candidates are leading their respective district races. Interim Chief Minister Abdulraof Macacua, president of the BFP, holds a significant lead in Maguindanao del Norte's 3rd District with 33,238 votes. Other BFP candidates showing strong leads include DJ Parok Mangudadatu in Maguindanao del Sur's 4th District and Sajid Andre Ampatuan in the 2nd District of Maguindanao del Sur. The UBJP has seen strong performances from Ahmad Balindong, who ran undisputed in Lanao del Sur's 8th District, and Tawakal Midtimbang in Maguindanao del Sur's 1st District.
Candidates from the Serbisyong Inklusibo-Alyansang Progresibo Party (SIAP), part of the BARMM Grand Coalition, are also leading in multiple areas. These include Princess Pala Gandamra in Marawi City and the 1st District of Lanao del Sur, Abdul Rauf Adiong in the 3rd District of Lanao del Sur, and Arimao Asum in the 5th District of Lanao del Sur.
