Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Bank of America announced on Wednesday that it plans to invest $250 billion by July 2027 to support digital and infrastructure projects in the United States. The initiative, titled the Critical Infrastructure Financing Initiative, will provide primary market loans, investments, capital markets services, and banking and advisory services. The funding will target three primary areas: digital infrastructure including data centers and computing; energy and electricity infrastructure including renewable generation and energy storage; and essential infrastructure such as transportation and natural gas.

According to Karen Fang, Bank of America's global head of infrastructure and sustainable finance, the investment aims to meet growing infrastructure needs through integrated financing solutions. The bank expects the initiative to boost economic growth and create tens of thousands of long term jobs. The $250 billion goal will be evaluated over an 18 month period from January 1, 2026, to July 4, 2027.

This move follows similar commitments from other financial institutions. Morgan Stanley recently reported it would make approximately $1.5 trillion available over the next decade for technology and infrastructure projects. Last year, JPMorgan Chase launched a $1.5 trillion plan to invest in sectors critical to US national security and economic resilience, including defense, energy, and advanced manufacturing.
