The BepiColombo double probe, a joint mission between the European Space Agency and the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency, has begun its arrival at Mercury after a journey of eight years. On Thursday, the Mercury Transfer Module separated from the two science orbiters. The European Space Agency confirmed that the spacecraft is healthy and operating as expected.
