Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

The Central Bank of Brazil conducted two simultaneous auctions on Thursday morning, selling US$ 1 billion in spot currency and 20,000 reverse currency swap contracts valued at US$ 1 billion. The reverse swap operation is equivalent to buying dollars in the future market. Investors refer to these simultaneous operations as a casadão, which serves to provide liquidity to the market. In theory, the effect on dollar exchange rates is null because the bank sold US$ 1 billion on one end and bought US$ 1 billion on the other. For the spot auction, six proposals totaling US$ 1 billion were accepted with a cut differential of -0.000300. For the reverse swap auction, four proposals totaling 20,000 contracts were accepted at a cut rate of 4.6510. These contracts begin on September 11, 2026, and expire on October 1, 2026.
