Brazilian canoer Isaquias Queiroz won the gold medal in the C1 500m event at the World Canoeing Championships in Poznan, Poland, on Saturday, August 29. Queiroz finished with a time of 1 minute 46.08 seconds, beating Czech athlete Martin Fuksa, who took silver, and China's Bowen Ji, who took bronze. This victory marks the 15th World Championship medal of Queiroz's career, including eight golds.
