The BRICS group of emerging economies unanimously adopted the New Delhi Declaration on Saturday during the 18th BRICS Summit in India. The joint statement expresses deep concern over the escalation of tensions in the Middle East and calls for maximum restraint and a multilateral approach to peace. The summit also saw discussions on the BRICS Pay system, an integrated payment network intended to connect national mechanisms like India's UPI and Brazil's Pix.
