A bus driver from line 527 died on Sunday after crashing his vehicle into a house in the town of Temperley. The incident occurred at the intersection of Caaguazú and Dinamarca streets. Initial reports indicate the bus was traveling at high speed, carried no passengers, and was operating outside of its usual route. One source noted the vehicle was part of the El Urbano S.R.L. service connecting Lanús with Monte Chingolo and other southern areas.
According to one report, the bus struck a delivery motorcycle and a light pole before hitting the residence. The impact was severe enough to leave the house without a front wall, with part of the vehicle ending up inside the property. The resident of the home was at work during the crash and was not injured. A neighboring property was also affected. A resident of that home reported that her husband was pinned under debris during a birthday celebration but managed to free himself and attempt to help the driver, who was already dead.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash. Colleagues of the driver told neighbors that the man was apparently going through a difficult personal and family situation.
