  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Ivo Vel Kos, a 48 year old businessman and investor, was arrested in flagrante on August 15 after allegedly assaulting his wife, Giullia Falcão, 27. The incident began on the night of August 14 during a drive home from a dinner with colleagues. According to reports, a banal discussion regarding a fraud case involving Kos led to him assaulting Falcão inside the car and later on the sidewalk of their street in Jardim Paulistano, São Paulo. Security footage captured Kos punching Falcão in the face and dragging her back into their home with the help of a street security guard.

Falcão reports that she suffered a sequence of facial assaults for over two hours. She stated that Kos attempted a final blow with a decorative baseball bat, which she managed to block with her hand. During the attack, Kos took her phone to prevent her from calling for help. Falcão eventually escaped in the early hours of August 15 with a disfigured face, a hand injury, and a risk of losing vision in her right eye.

Kos is currently a defendant charged with bodily injury and threat. While he remains under preventive detention, Falcão's defense is seeking charges for attempted femicide. Additionally, the Civil Police are investigating the security guards who witnessed the event for failure to provide assistance and possible complicity.

Following the assault, Falcão was temporarily barred from her home when Kos's family hired a locksmith to change the locks and removed her personal belongings in trash bags. She only regained access to the residence and her possessions through a court injunction. In a recent interview, Falcão described the experience as the worst episode of her life, citing physical, psychological, and financial abuse.
