Cause of Death Revealed for Actor Tim Curry

British actor Tim Curry died of coronary artery disease on 25 August at the age of 80. According to a death certificate filed in Los Angeles County, the actor passed away peacefully at his home. The records also list a history of stroke and kidney cancer as significant conditions that contributed to his death, although neither was the underlying cause. Documents further indicate that Curry did not undergo surgical interventions for these conditions.

Curry rose to international fame for his role as Dr Frank-N-Furter in the 1975 cult film The Rocky Horror Picture Show. His other notable roles include the clown Pennywise in the 1990 television version of It, the hotel receptionist in Home Alone 2, and roles in The Hunt For Red October and Scary Movie 2. He also appeared in the 1982 musical film Annie and the stage production of Spamalot.

In 2012, Curry suffered a near fatal stroke that left him using a wheelchair and limited his mobility. Following the incident, he shifted his professional focus exclusively to voice acting. In his memoir, Vagabond, and in public appearances, he spoke about his prolonged recovery and expressed gratitude for retaining his ability to speak. Tributes from colleagues, including Susan Sarandon and Luke Evans, highlighted his generosity and original spirit.
