Ceuta Mayor Seeks EU Aid Amid Migration Crisis

Juan Jesus Vivas, the mayor-president of the Spanish exclave of Ceuta, has called on European Union institutions for support following a surge of illegal migration. During a press conference at the European Parliament, Vivas described the situation in the city as explosive and impossible. He specifically pointed to Morocco as the driver of the chaos, accusing the country of using migration pressure to destabilize the region. Vivas requested that Morocco respect borders and collaborate on the return of migrants who arrived in late July, including approximately 1,800 minors.
