  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

China's exports and imports rose sharply in August, fueled by global demand for high tech products and artificial intelligence expansion. According to the General Administration of Customs, exports increased by 25 percent year on year, while imports rose by 28.2 percent. From January to August, the value of exports for computers and related components grew by 49.4 percent. Exports to the United States specifically increased by 34.4 percent in August, up from a 17 percent increase in July. These figures follow a historic surplus reported in 2025, which was attributed to international demand for semiconductors and computing equipment. The data was released ahead of a planned October meeting in Washington between Chinese President Xi Jinping and U.S. President Donald Trump.
