CJP Volunteer's Father Dies Following Alleged Assault in West Bengal

The father of a Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) volunteer died after an alleged assault in the Karisunda area of West Bengal. The deceased, identified as Sk Muhammad Mafik, was the father of 25 year old Shaik Abdul Hafeez. The incident occurred after Hafeez conducted an audit of a local government school as part of the CJP's nationwide School Thik Karo campaign, which aims to improve school infrastructure. According to the CJP, armed individuals entered the family residence on the evening of August 13 and assaulted both Hafeez and his father. Mafik later succumbed to his injuries. The CJP alleges that the attackers were BJP workers who were informed of the audit by a school teacher. CJP spokesperson Saurav Das described the attackers as anti school and anti intellectual. In response, West Bengal chief minister Suvendu Adhikari stated that police have arrested three of the five persons named in the first information report. Adhikari noted that the complaint referred to the suspects as unknown individuals rather than BJP workers. The CJP has demanded the immediate arrest of all those responsible and an impartial investigation into the failure to initiate legal proceedings immediately after the assault.
