- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Commuters were evacuated from a train at Bukit Gombak station at approximately 11.40am on Tuesday, September 15, after smoke was seen coming from the train. SMRT Trains President Lam Sheau Kai stated that preliminary checks suggest a faulty brake was the likely cause of the smoke. Staff assisted passengers in leaving the train as a safety precaution, and the train was subsequently withdrawn to the depot for further checks.
There were no reports of commuters requiring medical assistance, and train services continued to operate normally. One passenger, 44 year old Ming Wing Cheong, reported feeling confused because he was not told what was happening and noted a delay of eight to 10 minutes while waiting for the next train. A video posted to Instagram by sgfollowsall showed a crowded platform with some commuters covering their noses as smoke filled the area while SMRT employees managed the scene.
