- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
Corinthians earned a 1-1 draw against Estudiantes in the first leg of the Copa Libertadores quarterfinals on Wednesday in La Plata, Argentina. Estudiantes took an early lead in the third minute when Alexis Castro scored following a rebound from a Guido Carrillo header. Corinthians equalized three minutes into the second half with a goal from Kaio Cesar, assisted by Rodrigo Garro. This goal marked the first time Corinthians scored as a visitor in a Libertadores knockout stage since 2012. The return match is scheduled for Wednesday, October 16, at the Neo Química Arena. A simple victory will send Corinthians to the semifinals, while a second draw will lead to a penalty shootout. The winner of this series will face either Flamengo or Independiente del Valle. In post match comments, Corinthians coach Fernando Diniz expressed that he believed a foul should have been called during the sequence that led to the Estudiantes goal. He also noted that his team showed better aggression and freedom in the second half. Before the match, Corinthians players Hugo Souza, Matheuzinho, and Breno Bidon were called up to the Brazilian national team by Carlo Ancelotti.
