The Companhia Paulista de Trens Metropolitanos (CPTM) and the São Paulo Metro will implement operational changes and maintenance works during the Independence Day holiday weekend from Saturday, September 5, through Monday, September 7. The most significant disruption affects CPTM Lines 11-Coral and 12-Safira, where the section between Brás and Tatuapé will be closed starting at 10:30 p.m. on Saturday and remaining closed throughout Sunday. Passengers traveling between the Alto Tietê region and the capital must transfer to Metro Line 3-Red during this period.
Additional restrictions will occur on Line 11-Coral. On Saturday from 9 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. trains will operate on a single track between Guaianases and Ferraz de Vasconcelos to allow for the replacement of a track switching device. On Monday, the holiday, trains on Line 11-Coral will operate on a single track between Corinthians-Itaquera and José Bonifácio from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. for track work and ballast assembly.
CPTM will maintain Sunday interval schedules on Monday. The company stated that staff will be available at stations to guide passengers, and updates will be provided via audio announcements and electronic panels. Passengers can seek further information via a dedicated phone line or WhatsApp.
