Cruzeiro defeated Flamengo 2 to 1 on Saturday night at the Mineirão in Belo Horizonte during the 24th round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. Flamengo took an early lead in the first half with a goal from Pedro. Cruzeiro equalized ten minutes into the second half with a goal by Arroyo. In the final minute of the match, Matheus Pereira scored the winning goal for Cruzeiro, which was deflected by Ortiz before entering the net.
