Denmark Warns of Russian Sabotage Plans Targeting Defense Industry

Danish authorities have uncovered Russian plans and preparations to carry out sabotage within Denmark. Emil Græsholm, the head of counterintelligence for the Danish Security and Intelligence Service (PET), stated that the primary targets are companies in the defense industry linked to military aid for Ukraine. According to Græsholm, the objective is to stop concrete deliveries for Ukrainian defense and to intimidate Denmark into reducing its support for Ukraine and its own defense capabilities. Potential methods of sabotage include arson. PET has urged defense companies to increase security measures and warned that the threat is increasing in scope and complexity.

Russian intelligence is also reportedly attempting to recruit ordinary Danish citizens to assist in these plans. These individuals may be asked to take photos or videos of facilities for use in sabotage planning, often without knowing they are working for Moscow. Græsholm urged the public to remain suspicious of such requests.
