ED Conducts Raids on Karnataka PWD Minister Satish Jarkiholi

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) conducted searches on Wednesday at 18 locations linked to Karnataka Public Works Department Minister Satish Jarkiholi, his daughter Priyanka, and his brother in law Y Manjunath in connection with a money laundering case. Karnataka Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar described the raids as politically motivated and targeted, stating that the state government would stand by the minister. He further warned his ministers and MLAs to prepare for potential raids by central agencies, suggesting that up to 40 officials could be targeted. Minister Priyank Kharge alleged that the ED has been used as a tool against opposition leaders, claiming that 97 percent of raids in recent years have targeted such figures.
