Editora Fósforo to Publish Works of Raduan Nassar

Editora Fósforo has become the new publisher for Raduan Nassar, one of Brazil's most prominent literary figures. The contract was made public six months after the Camões Prize winner left Companhia das Letras, the publishing house that had represented him since the 1990s. Starting in 2027, Fósforo plans to release new editions of Nassar's three books: the novels Lavoura Arcaica and Um Copo de Cólera, and the short story collection Menina a Caminho. The publisher also intends to release unpublished writings and texts previously published in the press that have never been collected in a book.

Co-founders Rita Mattar and Fernanda Diamant described the partnership as an honor and an unimaginable opportunity for their young publishing house. To manage the author's work, Fósforo established an editorial council consisting of critic Rita Palmeira, professor Augusto Massi, editor Estevão Azevedo, and assessor Messias Barboza. Additionally, filmmaker Luiz Fernando Carvalho is developing further audiovisual projects based on Nassar's work, including an unpublished text titled As Três Batalhas.
