  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

The Eurozone services Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) rose to 51.7 in July, up from 49.4 in June. According to S&P Global and Hamburg Commercial Bank, this figure represents the highest level in five months and slightly exceeded the preliminary estimate of 51.6. The composite PMI, which includes both services and industry, increased from 50 to 52 during the same period. This composite reading is the highest in eight months and surpassed the initial calculation of 51.9. Readings above 50 indicate economic expansion.
