Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
Every outlet covering this story shares the same political lean; read with that in mind.
Feyenoord has decided to prohibit its supporters from attending the next two away matches against NEC Nijmegen and PEC Zwolle. This decision follows a match against SC Cambuur on Sunday, August 23, where fireworks set off by visiting fans left seven people injured. The victims suffered burns, hearing damage, and eye injuries. The incident caused the match to be interrupted for approximately 20 minutes during the first half.
Club director Robert Eenhoorn described the incident as completely unacceptable. The club is currently working to identify the perpetrators, who were reportedly wearing black clothing and balaclavas, to issue stadium bans. Feyenoord expects to provide more clarity on the identification process within a few days. Additionally, the club is expected to face a heavy fine.
Prior to the club's decision, the mayor of Nijmegen, Hubert Bruls, had indicated that Feyenoord supporters would not be welcome at the NEC match if it remained unclear whether perpetrators were being arrested. While the club acknowledged that the ban is a disappointment for the majority of loyal supporters, management stated that the measure is necessary given the events in Leeuwarden.
