A fire broke out at a workshop belonging to the Proton PM engine building complex in the village of Novye Lyady, located in the Sverdlovsk district of Perm. Local reports indicate the blaze covered an area of 2,100 square meters and was extinguished by approximately 11 a.m. There were no preliminary reports of casualties. Proton PM is described as one of the largest enterprises in the rocket and space industry in Russia and the CIS, specializing in the production of liquid rocket engines. A representative for the company declined to comment on the situation. While Ukrainian monitoring channels shared photos of the fire, the cause of the blaze remains unknown. The governor of Perm Krai did not report any attacks on the region, and the Russian Defense Ministry did not include Perm Krai in its reports of drones shot down overnight.
