  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

A large fire has broken out in the Zappulla district of Taormina, in the province of Messina, threatening several homes. The blaze spread from an area near a nursing home to the first rockfall gallery of via Garipoli, which serves as the main access road from the A18. Local police and firefighters are on site, and access to several roads starting from the Arco dei Cappuccini has been blocked. Mayor Cateno De Luca described the situation as tragic on Facebook, noting that the fire has affected the residential center and inhibited access to the town. A firefighting helicopter has arrived, and officials are awaiting a Canadair aircraft. Mayor De Luca stated that the fire appears to be intentional.

How each side framed it
