The Department of Justice confirmed on Tuesday that five criminal cases have been filed against Marikina City 1st District Representative Marcelino Marcy Teodoro. The charges include four counts of sexual assault and one count of acts of lasciviousness. These cases involve two female police officers who previously served as security personnel for the lawmaker. According to the DOJ, the sexual assault charges were filed with the Marikina City Regional Trial Court, while the acts of lasciviousness cases were filed with the Metropolitan Trial Court. One complainant alleged that the lawmaker committed rape by assault and acts of lasciviousness. The second complainant filed a complaint for acts of lasciviousness. Teodoro has denied the allegations, calling them malicious, baseless, and trumped up. His lawyer, Alma Mallonga, stated that Teodoro is innocent and is ready to undergo the legal process to reveal the truth.
