- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
Four bodies have been recovered after a small plane carrying a US family disappeared during a flight from the Bahamas to Miami. The victims were identified as 80 year old pilot Mario Lamar, his 79 year old wife Lili, and their two grandchildren, Sofia and Christian Sosa, aged 28 and 22. The aircraft, a five seat PA-34 Piper with registration N212ML, lost contact on Monday afternoon while approximately 20 kilometers west of Andros Island. A multi agency search operation followed, involving the Bahamas Police and the US Coast Guard, which deployed an HC-144 Ocean Sentry aircraft to assist. The family's spokesperson, Silvia Larrieu, noted that Mario Lamar was an experienced pilot of over 40 years who maintained his aircraft regularly. Sofia Sosa was a professional in the neonatology area at Kidz Medical, which released a statement regarding her passing.
