Arsenal forward Gabriel Martinelli has joined Saudi Pro League side Al Hilal on a permanent transfer. The 25 year old Brazilian international has signed a four year contract with the club. While the official fee was not disclosed, British media reports estimate the deal to be worth between 60 million pounds and 70 million euros. Martinelli joins a squad that includes Ollie Watkins, Kalidou Koulibaly, Yassine Bounou, and Theo Hernandez, though he will not play alongside Karim Benzema, who recently rescinded his contract. In a social media video, Martinelli stated that he is proud to be blue and proud to be an Al Hilal player.
During his time at Arsenal, which began in July 2019, Martinelli made 278 appearances and scored 62 goals. Last season, he scored 11 goals in 53 matches and helped the club win the English league title. For the Brazilian national team, he has earned 27 caps and scored five goals, including appearances in the 2026 World Cup where Brazil was eliminated by Norway in the round of 16.
