A 55 year old Greek man was arrested in Mystras, located in the south of Greece near Sparta, for keeping his father's body in a freezer for two and a half years. According to the Ana news agency, the man confessed that he hid the body of his 90 year old father, who died of natural causes, to continue receiving pension payments. During the initial investigation, the man claimed his father had moved to Athens. Police eventually discovered the corpse in the basement of a closed hotel that was being used as a residence. The man was scheduled to appear before the justice system on Wednesday.
