A mathematics professor at the University of Patras in Greece now requires students to provide a medical certificate to wear glasses during exams. The professor implemented this rule to prevent exams from becoming a festival of artificial intelligence, specifically to stop students from using AI glasses to cheat. Additionally, students are permitted to bring only a pencil to the examination. Christos Bouras, the rector of the university, told the newspaper Peloponnisos that cheating has always existed. He noted that artificial intelligence can now be used to help identify suspicious exam papers. The rector warned students that spending energy on cheating instead of studying will negatively impact them in their future professional lives.
