The India Meteorological Department issued heavy rain alerts across several Indian states, including Delhi, Kerala, Uttarakhand, Odisha, Bihar, Haryana, and Tamil Nadu. Other regional news includes a Supreme Court directive for Rajasthan to establish a coordination group and river commission to restore polluted rivers. In Odisha, over 70 people fell ill after a community feast in Balasore due to suspected food or water contamination. Additionally, the Union Railways Ministry approved a regular halt for the Achhnera Tanakpur Express at Banbasa station in Uttarakhand to improve connectivity.
