- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

At least four crew members were killed on Tuesday when Yemen's Iran backed Houthi rebels attacked a commercial vessel in the Red Sea. The vessel, identified as the Tanzania flagged Tihamah, was struck by missiles in the Bab el Mandeb Strait. According to Yemen's transport ministry and coastguard, the initial strike caused a fire and extensive damage, and a second missile strike occurred while rescue workers were attempting to evacuate the ship. The casualties include three Pakistani nationals and one Indonesian sailor. One other Pakistani national was reported injured. Pakistan's Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar condemned the attack as a violation of international law and a threat to the freedom of navigation. The Houthis claimed the ship was carrying Saudi military equipment, an assertion that aligns with a naval blockade they declared against Saudi Arabia on July 20. Some reports indicate this is the first instance of fatalities resulting from Houthi attacks since a military conflict between the US, Israel, and Iran began on February 28. In a separate incident, maritime security sources told Reuters that a Panama flagged container ship named Vela Nova was struck by a missile off the coast of Pakistan while sailing into the Gulf of Oman.
