Yemen's Houthi group reported on Sunday that Saudi Arabia launched approximately 50 airstrikes against their positions in 24 hours. Houthi military spokesman Yahya Saree specifically claimed that the Saudi enemy carried out 58 airstrikes. These strikes reportedly targeted the group's stronghold in the north, including Saada and the Al-Jawf province. Riyadh has not confirmed the strikes in Yemen.
The Saudi airstrikes followed Houthi claims of an attack using drones and missiles against the Sharurah military base in southern Saudi Arabia. The Houthis stated the attack targeted command and control centers and weapons depots. While Saudi Arabia generally communicates little regarding Houthi attacks, its civil defense agency previously reported that two people were injured by a projectile in the Jizan region on Saturday.

The conflict reignited after the Houthis declared a maritime blockade on Saudi Arabia and targeted ships in the Red Sea.
