- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
The Hungarian writer and photographer Péter Nádas has died at the age of 83. Born on October 14, 1942, at the Jewish hospital in Budapest, Nádas began writing at age eleven and later worked in a photo studio. He was known for combining literature and photography, as seen in his 1999 book, Etwas Licht, which serves as an introduction to his black and white photography and includes autobiographical miniatures. Following his death, a broadcast featuring his publisher and friend, Bence Sárközy, and art manager Anna Ott was held to remember his work.
