  • A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.

Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Indonesia reopened eight airports on Tuesday as volcanic activity from Mount Anak Krakatau eased. The closures, which affected airports in Jakarta, Banten, Lampung, and West Java, occurred after the volcano erupted continuously for 25 hours starting Friday night. The eruption produced lava fountains and an ash plume that reached 15 kilometers above sea level. According to Transportation Ministry data, nearly 3,000 flights and approximately 341,000 passengers were affected on Sunday and Monday. While most airspace has reopened, Wunopito Airport in Lewoleba remains closed until Wednesday morning due to ashfall from Mount Ile Lewotolok. In Jakarta, schools extended online learning due to lingering concerns over volcanic ash.
