Israeli airstrikes in the Gaza Strip killed at least two people, including a four year old boy, according to Palestinian health authorities. One attack targeted a building in Zawayda, while another occurred in the Nuseirat refugee camp. Israeli forces stated that one strike targeted a Hamas weapons production site near a humanitarian aid warehouse in Maghazi, resulting in the death of Hamas commander Ismail Abu Ful. Another report from Israel indicated that a high ranking Hamas member, Sharif Al-Hasnat, was killed in Deir Al-Balah for his role in restoring underground infrastructure.
Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu warned that Israel would intensify its offensive if the launch of drones, balloons, and kites from Gaza does not cease immediately. Israeli security forces reported that several kites were found near the border; while they lacked explosives, the military believes Hamas is using them to test defenses. Hamas denied these claims, with official Basem Naim stating the kites were launched by children. Hamas further accused Israel of using the kites as a pretext for airstrikes and violating the ceasefire.
Simultaneously, violence escalated in the West Bank. An Israeli soldier killed a 14 year old boy, Islam Ajouri, during an anti terrorism raid in the al Askar refugee camp in Nablus. In the Jordan Valley, a 24 year old Israeli man was stabbed in the back at a gas station, leading to the arrest of a Palestinian suspect. Israeli police also arrested two extremist settlers, aged 16 and 17, after one was filmed attacking a 61 year old Palestinian man who used crutches. Additionally, the Israeli military opened an investigation into soldiers who were filmed throwing a Palestinian family's belongings out of a window in Qusra.
