- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

The Jharkhand High Court has stayed the state government's decision to cancel the 11th to 13th Jharkhand Public Service Commission Combined Civil Services examinations. The court also directed candidates who were selected through these tests to resume their duties immediately. The matter is scheduled for a further hearing on August 25.
The state government had previously cancelled 44 examinations conducted since 2014 by the Jharkhand Staff Selection Commission and the Jharkhand Public Service Commission. These exams were conducted through a testing firm called TSR Data Processing Private Limited. The cancellations followed student protests starting on July 25 that alleged irregularities in government recruitment exams. Chief Minister Hemant Soren announced the cancellations, which led to the end of the protests. Subsequently, candidates who had already cleared some of the examinations challenged the government's decision in the High Court.
