- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.
Jordanian air defenses intercepted a barrage of ballistic missiles launched by Iran. According to Jordanian state media, Iran fired 20 rockets toward the country, 18 of which were shot down. The two missiles that were not neutralized fell in unpopulated areas, and no people were affected. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated that the attack targeted a United States base in Al Azraq as retaliation for American attacks on Iranian tankers on Tuesday. The United States has not issued a statement. While a center right source provided specific casualty and intercept numbers and the stated motive for the attack, a center left source focused on witness accounts of the interceptions.
