Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes has authorized five family members of former President Jair Bolsonaro to make periodic visits to his residence. The decision follows a request from Bolsonaro's defense to ensure the presence of close relatives while Michelle Bolsonaro campaigns for a Senate seat in the Federal District. The authorized visitors include Bolsonaro's brother, Renato Bolsonaro, as well as Michelle Bolsonaro's father, stepmother, and two half sisters. Visits are permitted on Wednesdays and Saturdays between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. for a maximum of two hours, subject to the rules of the prison unit overseeing the house arrest. Bolsonaro is currently serving a sentence in home confinement in the Federal District. While the court granted the family requests, Justice Moraes denied the inclusion of two former aides, Sergio Rocha Cordeiro and Max Guilherme Machado de Moura, as permanent staff at the residence. Both individuals were previously linked to an investigation regarding the alleged falsification of Bolsonaro's vaccination card.
