- A hatched block means the outlet is affiliated with, or controlled by, a state.
Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Olympic champion Keely Hodgkinson and her primary gold medal rivals, Audrey Werro and Femke Broeders-Bol, have all progressed to the women's 800m semi-finals at the European Athletics Championships. Hodgkinson won her heat in one minute 57.28 seconds, which was the fastest time across the four heats on Tuesday morning. Swiss athlete Audrey Werro won her race in 1:57.83, while Dutch athlete Femke Broeders-Bol finished first in her heat with a time of 1:59.96.
Hodgkinson noted that she had experienced a couple of setbacks during her outdoor campaign but felt comfortable during the race. She also revealed that she had run a personal best during a training camp in Portugal to gauge her fitness. During her heat, Hodgkinson wore sunglasses, later joking that she did so to avoid wrinkles and the need for Botox.
Werro, who beat Hodgkinson in Stockholm in June with the third fastest time in history, expressed confidence in handling the pressure of being a favorite. Broeders-Bol, a two-time world 400m hurdles champion, is continuing her transition to the 800m event this season. Former Olympic champion Greg Rutherford observed that the three favorites made the opening round look significantly easier than the rest of the field, setting the stage for a high-standard final.
