King Charles III and Queen Camilla will travel to the Caribbean for an eight day tour from 27 October to 4 November, according to an announcement from Buckingham Palace. The royal pair will visit Antigua and Barbuda for the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting, and the King will also visit Guyana and the Bahamas. The palace stated that the tour will celebrate the nature, cultures, and communities within the Commonwealth family. This marks the first time the King has visited the Caribbean since 2021, when he traveled to Barbados as the Prince of Wales to witness the country become a republic. During that visit, he acknowledged the appalling atrocity of slavery. The King has previously visited Antigua and Barbuda in 2017, Guyana in 2000, and the Bahamas in 1973. Earlier this year, he visited Bermuda in May.
