Line 7-Ruby trains will operate with slowness and longer intervals this Sunday, October 13, to allow for the removal of a large tree from the tracks. The tree fell last Friday, October 11, due to strong winds in the São Paulo metropolitan region and is located approximately 300 meters from the Pirituba station in the north zone of São Paulo.
During commercial operations from 4 a.m. to midnight, the concessionaire TIC Trens will implement several changes. Trains will run on a single track between Vila Clarice and Vila Aurora stations, where boarding and disembarking will occur on the same platform for both directions. In the section between Palmeiras-Barra Funda and Jundiaí, trains will have a scheduled interval of approximately 25 minutes. Intervals will be approximately 12 minutes between Palmeiras-Barra Funda and Pirituba, as well as between Vila Aurora and Jundiaí.
Trains heading toward Jundiaí will not stop at Piqueri station to ensure the safety of maintenance teams. TIC Trens recommends that passengers follow official channels and audio announcements. Service agents and security personnel will be available on platforms to guide the public.
TIC Trens began assisted operation of Line 7-Ruby on August 27 of last year under the supervision of CPTM, the previous manager before privatization. The company assumed full management on November 26.
