Colombian footballer Luis Díaz sent a recorded message of encouragement to Lucas Francesco Murillo García, a child suffering from a heart disease. Lucas is currently receiving specialized medical care at the Cardiovascular Foundation in Bucaramanga. Lucas was transported from Cúcuta to Bucaramanga on August 31 via a medicalized aircraft because his clinical condition made commercial flight too risky. The child's health situation gained public attention after a video asking for help went viral, which eventually reached President Abelardo De la Espriella. The president subsequently helped manage the necessary medical attention for the boy.
In the video, Díaz wished Lucas a favorable recovery and sent blessings to his family. Lucas responded by stating he was doing well and invited the athlete to visit him at the hospital.
