Magnitude 4.7 Earthquake Strikes Near Naples, Italy

A magnitude 4.7 earthquake struck the Campi Flegrei region west of Naples, Italy, on Friday evening at 19:46. The quake, which occurred at a depth of three kilometers, is reported as the strongest seismic event in the area in forty years. Authorities report that between 21 and 26 people were injured, with five individuals hospitalized for fractures and trauma.
