A man was arrested within 30 minutes of robbing a State Bank of India branch in Nagpur, western India. The suspect, identified as 28 year old Suraj Borkar, entered the Sakkardara area branch posing as a customer while wearing a kurta and a white cloth over his face. He threw chilli powder into the eyes of bank employees at the cash counter, grabbed 4.53 lakh rupees in cash, and fled. Police and bank staff pursued the suspect and recovered the full amount of stolen money. Borkar, a science graduate, told police he had been struggling while jobless. Investigators are currently determining if he acted alone.
