Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

A man has been detained by Russian authorities after shooting his ex-wife and their 23 year old daughter at a cafe in Khasavyurt, Dagestan. The Dagestan branch of Russia's Investigative Committee opened a criminal case against the suspect for double murder. One victim died at the scene, while the other died later in the hospital.

According to reports from the Telegram channel 112 and REN TV, the gunman, identified as 46 year old Aliaskhab, believed the women had disgraced the family. He allegedly demanded that his ex-wife quit her job at the cafe to focus on raising their five minor children. During a quarrel, the man reportedly shot his ex-wife in the back as she tried to flee and then shot their daughter when she attempted to help her mother.

Another report from the Telegram channel Baza suggests the conflict stemmed from a dispute over visitation arrangements for the children following the couple's divorce. In addition to the murder charges, one source reports the man faces charges for the illegal acquisition, storage, and carrying of a firearm.
