Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.
Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.
The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

The Ecuadorian Football Federation (FEF) has officially presented Marcelo Gallardo as the new head coach of the Ecuador national team. The announcement was made via a video and a post on the social media platform X, featuring FEF President Francisco Egas. The agreement follows a week of negotiations in Madrid and establishes a four year term with the primary objective of qualifying for the 2030 World Cup in Spain, Portugal, and Morocco.
This appointment marks the first time the 50 year old Argentine manager will lead a national team. Gallardo, who has been without a club since February after his second stint with River Plate, will be joined by his regular technical staff, including Matías Biscay and Hernán Buján. He replaces fellow Argentine Sebastián Beccacece. Gallardo's debut could occur during the next FIFA window, which includes a friendly against South Korea on September 24 and a four team tournament from October 1 to 5 featuring Japan, Panama, and New Zealand.
Gallardo is widely recognized as the most successful coach in the history of River Plate, where he won two Copa Libertadores titles in 2015 and 2018, a Copa Sudamericana in 2014, and several other domestic and continental trophies. His coaching career also includes a period with Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia and an early start at Nacional in Uruguay. As a player, he achieved significant success with River Plate, Monaco, and Paris Saint-Germain.
