Political lean describes where an outlet sits within the politics of its own country. It is never a position on a single global scale.

Political lean is comparable inside one country and not across them, which is why the bar groups by country first. Publicly funded broadcasters are not marked as state-linked.

The owner of each outlet is listed as a matter of record, not as a judgement about the outlet.

Every outlet covering this story shares the same political lean; read with that in mind.

Medellín Mayor Federico Gutiérrez met with officials from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) to establish an international alliance against corruption, terrorism, and child sexual exploitation. During the meeting on August 31, the Mayor's office provided documentation and evidence regarding alleged misappropriation of funds and irregularities occurring under previous administrations. The FBI's Miami field office confirmed that the meeting formally addressed a case of possible transnational public corruption and reaffirmed its commitment to coordinating with Colombian law enforcement to exchange strategic information.

Following the meeting, Mayor Gutiérrez posted a message on X advising those involved in the alleged crimes to surrender and reveal all known information. He stated that additional valuable data has arrived since the meeting and asserted that justice will eventually be served. The delegation included FBI Miami Special Agent in Charge Brett Skiles and FBI Attaché for the Andean region Allen Pack. The information provided by the city will now proceed through the corresponding judicial investigation stages.
