The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced the approved fares for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage, with costs ranging from ₦7,560,822 to ₦7,882,822. According to a statement released on Friday, the federal government approved these rates after consulting with service providers in Saudi Arabia and the Forum of State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards. The commission noted that the pricing was determined by service costs and prevailing exchange rates.
Specific fares vary by departure zone. Pilgrims from the Maiduguri and Yola zone will pay ₦7,560,822, while those in the northern zone will pay ₦7,672,822. The highest fare of ₦7,882,822 applies to pilgrims from the southern zone.
NAHCON directed new registrants to make payments through participating banks under the Hajj Savings Scheme or through their respective State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards. Those who previously deposited ₦5 million are required to pay the remaining balance to complete their registration.
Two critical deadlines have been established in compliance with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s policy. The final deadline for uploading biometric data to the Nusuk-Masar digital platform is September 26, 2026. Additionally, states must remit all fares by December 2, 2026. The commission warned that no extensions will be granted and failure to meet these deadlines will result in the forfeiture of allocated Hajj slots.
