Netflix has announced a three part docuseries titled The One About Matthew Perry, which is scheduled to premiere on October 27, 2026. The production will explore the life and career of the actor, who gained worldwide fame as Chandler Bing on the sitcom Friends from 1994 to 2004. Directed by Emmy winner Mary Robertson, the series will feature archival material and testimonies from people close to the actor. His younger sister, Mia Perry Bowick, will serve as the primary narrator, sharing personal memories to provide a deeper look at Perry as a complete person beyond his public persona.

A central theme of the series will be Perry's lifelong struggle with addiction to alcohol, prescription opioids, and ketamine. The production aims to balance his professional success with his personal hardships. Matthew Perry died on October 28, 2023, at the age of 54 in his Los Angeles home. A forensic report later concluded that his death was an accident caused by the acute effects of ketamine, with drowning noted as an additional factor.
